Hello to everybody!!

We are now entering the home stretch of the season and well placed in the league, in 3rd position. We need to work a hard to keep this position after a very good season so far. A little bit of inconsistency has started to creep in which I'm sure the lads will rectify. We've had a tough few games over the last couple of weeks and we have to play teams around us before the season if over.

I'd again like to thank everybody involved with the club for there hard work over this season. The club is making steady progress both on and off the pitch things are looking very good for the club. Of course we are always on the look out for anybody who would be willing to help further the club, in any capacity.

I would like to congratulate Tom Barnard, Richy Hughes and Tim Hughes for being selected for a trail to represent North Wales and hopefully Wales in the Regions Cup, which is a very good achievement. Fingers crossed its good news for the boys. I'd like to thank Paul Hughes (Yozza) for taking over in goal on Saturday for Andy Poynton, who has had to cut down on the playing time due to his role as Northop Cricket Captain. The club and the lads wish him all the best for the up and coming season in the cricket.

Haydn has decided to step down from his role as assistant manager, due to work commitments. He has said he would still help out, which is going to be a great help. Hopefully he'll get his dodgy knee sorted out and get back playing soon. Rob Lawrence has been asked to be the assistant manager in Haydns place, which he has willingly taken over. Rob has a great knowledge and I know he will be able to get the best of the lads.

Keep up the good work lads, one last big effort now until the end of the season. Lets get our attitudes and efforts renewed for the final push and finish as high in the league as we can.

Well its that time again for another little script from myself on how we have been performing over the last few months. We have ground out a few impressive results (especially our latest) in a midweek game against Brynford. We proved we are 3rd in the league for a reason and more than capable of beating the teams who are above us. Again we put up an impressive performance against Greenfield but couldn’t quite find that finishing touch (myself included who missed a great opportunity).

Although we have put in some great effort against the better teams we are still too content when we come up against the lower teams and our standard of football really drops. This is where we have struggled all season in being so inconsistent and have let far too many points slip by. Hopefully we can have a good run in to the end of the season with our remaining few games and if we can get through our next cup game, then there’s no reason why we couldn’t go on and win the cup.

I’m glad to see all of the squad still together and turning up every week even though they may have been on the bench for numerous games throughout the season, they still make up the squad and I know Andy is made up they are still with us, as he knows they wont let him down if they are called upon to play. The likes of stretch, Tina, little Saun, Mark, Potter..amongst others….keeping it real lads!!! Although I think stretch only turns up for the beer after the game! Good luck to Andy P who has gone to play his first love of sport which is netball or hockey or cricket or something like that, and Yozza is now standing in as an excellent 2nd choice keeper (and he aint too bad either). Keep pushing till the end of the season lads and hopefully we can push for a possible promotion or cup run, and then we can enjoy our end of season night out – which Hayden (shandy Pants) is going to sort out for us.
